Objective of painting course:
Understanding of color mixing, shape, texture and design of painting.  Individual instructions for each student's work.  The first week, students will follow along, painting with the instructor of a painting the instructor has chosen.  Second week will be a painting of student choosing.  Students are encouraged to complete a minimum of two finished paintings over the four weeks.

Supplies needed for the course:
- 2 Stretched Canvases - minimum size 11x14", maximum size 18x24"
- Oil Paints: 12 colors:  black, white, burnt sienna, yellow ocher, lemon yellow, cadmium yellow, cerulean blue, cobalt blue, ultramarine blue, alizarine crimson, cadmium red med., cadmium orange
- Brushes: minimum of three, soft nylon flat brushes - 1/4 inch wide, 1/2 inch wide and 3/4 inch wide
- Odorless turpentine and container
- Disposable oil palette paper pad
- Portable easel (floor or table model)
- Palette knife
- Paper towels (for cleaning brushes and spills etc)
- Notebook and pencil (for notes during class)

Class details:
Class starts on the first Thursday of the month, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm, and continues each Thursday during the month.  Cost of the four week session: $75 per student.  Four week session begins the first week of each month.  Each class is three (3) hours.  A total of twelve (12) hours per four week session.  Maximum 10 students per class - minumum 5 students per class.  No refunds for classes missed.
