This sailor and artist has recently settled into a life ashore in North Carolina after sailing thousands of miles in several oceans. Until recently she kept a studio on board her sailboat, painting what she laughingly calls her “Sea Stories, Sailors love to tell ‘um!” series.
Her work is centered primarily around the ocean, either in it, on it or near it.
Trained at the California Art Institute in the 1980s, she later opened a studio/gallery in the historic Old Livery building in downtown Ventura, CA. In 2012, her husband retired and they decided to move to the Southeast so they could sail new oceans and she could paint from the Bahamas to Maine and everywhere in between.
