Moses Soyer

Russian-American. He was a Social Realist painter who showed great empathy for the working class. He worked together with his twin brother for the WPA on a Federal Art Project mural at the Kinseesing Station post office in Philadelphia. He is best known for his intimate and psychologically penetrating portraits of ordinary people, for which he is best known.
